"Let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to the LORD,
and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will
abundantly pardon."
(Isaiah 55:7)
The prophet Isaiah warns us to forsake our own carnal thoughts, and
by the Word, take on God's divine thoughts. The Apostle Paul in 2
Corinthians 10:5 tells us to cast down thoughts that exalt
themselves against the knowledge of God and bring every thought into
captivity to the obedience of Christ. You can't taste victory when
the problem is the biggest thing in your life and in your thought.
If you want deliverance from your problems, then quit serving them
and stop allowing them to consume your thought life. Don't wait
until circumstances change to do it. Instead, realize that
circumstances won't ever change until you switch from wrong to right
thinking, until you've passed the Point of No Return, until
you return to God.
That's not easy in the midst of a
severe trial, but you can do it.
First, you have the Word which is a compilation of all of God's
thoughts. Meditate on the promises of God instead of your problems
and speak the Word. You then have the Holy Spirit to guide,
strengthen and comfort you and you have A Beautiful Mind, the mind
of Christ.
Then join forces with believers who are full of faith. Instead of
discussing your problem, listen to them, unite with their faith in
the prayer of agreement and resist the forces of darkness and bind
satan in the Name of Jesus.
Third, praise God, bless His Name and thank Him profusely. Shout
Hallelujah and do whatever it takes to praise God, your heavenly
Father. When you praise Him, God's presence will manifest and
overwhelm those worried thoughts and wipe them out. Your problems
are not the biggest thing in your life. God is. Serve God with your
thoughts, obedience, praise and thanksgiving and the truth of His
Word will set you free.
