SEEKING THE LORD
"O taste and see that the Lord is good. How
blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!....they who seek the
Lord shall not be in want of any good thing." (Psalms 34:8,10)
David was a man that learned to seek the Lord and then could observe
first hand the faithfulness of the Lord as he went about his
everyday living. David told Saul that he learned how to kill giants
by killing bears and lions that came to destroy the sheep. In the
eyes of Davidhe saw Goliath just like he saw a bear or lion and he
told Saul that the Lord would deliver him from the hand of Goliath
in like manner.
I am convinced that our God has His eye on us and if we are willing
to be trained by Him we willl experience an exciting walk on a daily
basis. I love the setting of the book of Revelation where we find
John telling why he was on Patmos island. John tells us that he was
there because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. John
used this opportunity to seek the Lord and he tells us that he heard
a loud voice like the sound of a trumpet. Are you ready to hear His
voice today?
"I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me." (Revelation
1:12)
I pray that all of us will be willing to turn to see who is speaking
to us today. When Moses saw the burning bush and that it was not
consumed with fire we find Moses talking to himself. This is
interesting reading.
"I must turn aside now, and see this marvelous sight, why the bush
is not burned up." When the Lord saw that he turned aside to look,
God called to him from the midst of the bush, and said, "Moses,
Moses!" And he said "Here I am." (Exodus 3:3-4)
I have come to see that we must be very observant of things taking
place around us or we can miss our day of visitation from the Lord.
If we are not careful we will confuse the voice of God speaking to
us
as just thunder.
Saeed, an Arab believer told me that he had been placed in solitary
confinement because of his testimony of Jesus and spend seven months
in total darkness except for one day when Jesus came into his cell
and spoke to him and assured him that he would be released. Jesus
tellsus that He is the light of the world and He truly lit up Saeeds'
world that day.
"The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the second time, while he was
still confined in the court of the guard, saying, "Thus says the
Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it, the
Lord is His name, 'Call to Me, and I will answer you, and I will
tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'" (Jeremiah
33:1-3)
God is looking for someone that will call on Him today. There are
still giants in the land that are defying the God of Israel and the
Lord is looking for a man or woman that will accept the challenge.
Purpose in your heart today that you will listen for that voice out
of heaven. His plans for you are earth shattering. All that it took
was a small stone that day to bring the giant down.

If the archdiocese of Boston (a Corporation Sole) follows through
on its rumored plan to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, some of the
toughest decisions and most decisive battles will likely be fought over some of
the most fundamental questions: Who or what entity is declaring bankruptcy and
what property does it own?
